School Groups

 

School Group Registration is now closed and will re-open a few months prior to the upcoming events in winter 2012/2013

Each year, our events welcome high school students for group visits. In the nearly 16 years of hosting the events, we have enjoyed support from the local school districts in each of the regions we visit. As of the completion of the 2011 winter events, we have had nearly 160,000 high school students pass through our doors! Attending with their guidance counselors, academic and career advisors, educators and parents, they were able to benefit from a valuable educational and career experience.

ECF is going green!

We are pleased to present the School Group Admission system online! We will not be mailing out tickets but instead only require leaders to present the confirmation letter from us indicating your group details.

Please follow the links below to register your school group. Whether you are bussing in your students or arriving on your own, you will be prompted to enter your ARRIVAL and DEPARTURE times. If a time is not available, you will be prompted to make another choice. Once you are registered, you will receive a confirmation letter. This letter must be presented at the Registration Counter in the lobby of each venue to gain entrance.

If you are arriving on your own and meeting your students to enter:

The group leader will need to have the confirmation letter available to gain entrance.

If you are arriving on your own and not meeting as a group with your students to enter:

Your students will require individual tickets for entrance, please contact Joanne Walsh and she will send you a PDF of printable tickets which you can cut out and distribute to your group. The tickets must include SCHOOL NAME to gain entrance.

Special Registration Procedure for School District 23:

All public schools in SD 23 wishing to attend the Kelowna Education & Career Fair, your registration must be sent by fax or email to the School District office. Please note that it is important for schools to stay with the times Deb will allocate your school and not to stay longer. We recommend allocating 2 hours to spend at the fair to visit the exhibitors and attend the seminars being offered.

Career Pathways Assignment and myBlueprint

ECF has partnered with myBlueprint to offer counselors an opportunity to try their system using our Career Pathways Assignment. This school year, the myBlueprint team has continued its commitment to driving innovation in Canadian Career Development resources with the launch of myBlueprint Education Planner v3.0! This next-generation tool was developed with input from thousands of counsellors, teachers and students in our 40+ Board partners and is designed to considerably simplify the education planning process.

We welcome high school counselors and teachers to view their overviews and to try the Career Pathways Assignment for the upcoming ECF Events.

Counselor Event

If you are not able to attend the attend the actual event with your school group, we do have a COUNSELOR EVENT on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 from 9 am - 12 pm and you are welcome to register.
