Q. What is the status of the ECF 2020?
The Education & Career Fairs 2020 is confirmed for 2020, however, due to the COVID-19 it will be fully virtual.

Q. What is the admission cost to attend an ECF event?
There is no cost to attend ECF! Registration is free!

Q. I am not a high school student. Is this fair still for me?
Yes! If you are looking for opportunities either to change your career, get additional education, or learn about other industries, ECF is the place the connect and network. ECF works with colleges, career training institutes, industry associations, universities, and employers.

Q. How will ECF virtual be different than the in-person ECF?
ECF virtual will offer you the same opportunities to connect in real-time with exhibiting organizations! ECF Virtual will allow you to download brochures, view videos, ask exhibitors questions in real-time. Additionally, there will be seminars and workshops to learn about emerging industries and developing new skills.

Q. Will I be able to connect with exhibiting organizations after the day of the event?
Yes! Both prior to the event and after the event, the platform will be accessible. You can log in, visit the organization you are interested in and find the contact information. However, on the day of the live fair, you will be able to chat with exhibitors live.

Q. How do I register?
You can register directly at www.educationcareerfairs.com.

Q. Will exhibitors have direct access to my email address?
No! Privacy and data protection are very important to the Education & Career Fairs. No email addresses will be shared with exhibitors automatically. Exhibitors will have sign up forms where you can leave your email address if you are interested in learning more.

Q. What are the virtual event hours?
Virtual event day hours are 9:00 am – 2:00 pm PST

Q. What is the deadline to register?
All highschools are asked to register a minimum of a month in advance. ECF Management will be scheduling staggered attendance in order to prevent overwhelming the exhibitors. All other attendees can register any time up to the virtual live event.

Q. What type of internet connection do I require?
Internet connect of either wireless or wired with a Minimum bandwidth is 600kbps (up/down) and recommended is 1.5 Mbps (up/down).

Q. Which browser is recommended to use?
Windows 10+ – Latest version of Chrome Edge, Firefox. Chrome will yield the best results.
Mac OS 10.11+ – Latest version of Chrome, Safari, Firefox. Chrome will yield the best results.

Q. What information do I need to share to attend/register ECF Virtual?
High School students will be required to provide their first name, grade of study, name of High School, city of residence and email address. All other attendees will be required to provide first name, city of residence, and email address. No email addresses will be shared with exhibitors. Attendees can provide their email for further communication directly to each exhibitor.

Q. What are the different ways I can log in and attend?
Attendees may login ECF via laptop, desktop, tablet or mobile phone.

Q. Is there an event app?
No, there is no event app, but the event platform is mobile compatible.

Q. What type of technology/software do I require?
For an optimal experience, we suggest using a desktop or laptop and viewing in a Chrome browser. A USB headset is recommended. During the event, if you have technical difficulties, please email: info@educationcareerfairs.com

Q. When will information about the schedule and content be released?
Please visit www.educationcareerfairs.com for updates. Full schedule details will be available on the ECF website as soon as they are confirmed.

Q. How will I choose my sessions to attend, how do I attend sessions and what are the session formats?
ECF virtual will have all of the same great features as the in person. This will include Learning Lounge Seminars, Career Skills Workshops and loads of exciting opportunities. The schedules will be available on our website as soon as they are confirmed.

All presentations will be 10 – 15 minutes long. We would recommend utilizing headphones or a headset in order to hear the presentations in the clearest manner. Following the sessions, there will be a live Q&A where you can ask the presenters any follow up questions.

Q. Will seminars and workshops be pre-recorded or live?
All seminars and workshops will be prerecorded. These seminars will also be available after the event in a virtual library.

Q. Will I have access to recordings/event materials after the event?
Yes, if you were a registered attendee at the event and missed a session, you will have access to the recordings post-event. A virtual library will be compiled and available after the completion of the ECF Fall and Spring series.

Q. How do I use the platform…how will I know how to use?
Available on the ECF website, a video tutorial will be available on how to navigate the virtual platform. Also, registrants will receive a document with instructions and best practices.
